It was announced this week that Overhaul Games’ Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition (a remake of Bioware’sBaldur’s Gate) will be hitting PC on September 18th. iOS and Mac will be seeing the game a bit later in September. The Android OS version is still TBA, but at least it’s coming, so we should all be able to do some good old-fashioned roleplaying soon - both at home and on the go!
Unfortunately, the app is only available on iOS, which means no love for the Android users.
“Phantasy Star Online 2” is Making its Way Across the Pacific!
Sega have announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be released in both Europe and North America next year.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is the first true sequel to Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast. The game released last week in Japan on July 4 for Windows PCs. A variety of other platforms will see the game at a later date, including iOS devices, Android devices, and the Playstation Vita.
In the weeks leading up to the release, open-beta was held. I know that many sneaky foreigners (myself included) wriggled their way into the game. Well, there probably wasn’t any sneakiness present. I doubt Sega had any issue with foreign players joining the beta, though you had best be prepared to read a lot of Japanese!

Haruhi Suzumiya smartphone game offered
“The Reincarnation of Haruhi Suzumiya” has been announced for the “Gree” social gaming platform on Android and iOS. It is a “card battle game” - which seems like an odd choice - in which you progress through different story lines and collect character cards, and then…battle them.
It’s a bit difficult to see what’s going on in the screenshots, but I would venture a guess that this game might be possible to play without being fluent in Japanese, because the card stats are pretty straightforward.
