“KINGDOM” manga to get anime adaptation in 2012
‘Weekly Young Jump’ announced through their November 17th issue that Hara Yasuhisa’s manga, “KINGDOM“, would receive an anime adaptation!
“KINGDOM” is a historical action manga set during the Warring States period in China. Its story revolves around a young boy named Xin who aims to become a top general of the army; eventually, he succeeds in becoming the future first emperor, Ying Zheng.
The anime for “KINGDOM” will be directed by Kamiya Jun and composed by Arakawa Naruhisa. Meanwhile, the animation will be drawn by Pierrot. The series is scheduled to air in 2012 through NHK.
