GoBoiano Closing - 2.0 version Coming Soon!

Hey everyone! We have a big announcement to make! Our team has been discussing this for a while and we have decided to shut down the site in the up coming days and not reopen it until we launch the 2.0 version. As of now, we are currently o

perating on a glitchy prototype and we feel it’s time we take it down since we’ve tested things out enough. We honestly did not expect to receive such good reception from the prototype and are very thankful for all of the people that have supported us! We want to avoid the ongoing glitches and errors and present a fully finished, non-glitchy product. This will allow us to achieve our goal of launching 2.0 sooner since it’ll allow our developers more time to focus on it rather than fixing the current issues. 2.0 or rather, the real GoBoiano platform will consist of various advanced web 2.0 features with a sleek, UX Design (think Twitter or Pinterest if you are unfamiliar with UX Design).

Our news has receive massive traction online and we have decided to only leave up the News section of the site for the time being. We are also looking into creating a spanish version of the news section for our spanish readers. All our networks (Tumblr, FB, Twitter, G+ and Pinterest) will continue to be active and updated with the lasted news and fun content for our followers to enjoy so please stay tuned! We plan on releasing a private beta of 2.0 version by sometime fall of this year with a public beta by the end of the year.We will definitely keep everyone updated on the specific date once we’re ready through our networks. I hope everyone continues to support GoBoiano and watch over us as we grow into a bigger and better company with the goal of serving our fans with the best content. Social Cinema application by FUNimation for Facebook

On Monday, FUNimation Entertainment and Milyoni announced the launch of their combined project, Social Cinema, which is an application on Facebook that lets people stream an anime series or movies on their Facebook.

Social Cinema will allow you to rent anime episodes in bundles that have four to six episodes in them. You will be able to have an unlimited number of views over a 48 hour period of time. The bundles can be rented using either PayPal or a credit card, and the costs range from $.99 to $3.99.

Social Cinema currents has 23 series and movies that you can choose from along with two live-action movies.

Update & MSN Fun!

Hey guys we thought we’d give you some details on how the site’s developing! First thanks so much for all the support we’re getting, we recently got a member post about us on their own blog you can check them out here (though it’s in czech :p)

The registration and login segments of GoBoiano are finally complete. We’re currently in the design phases of the dashboard and profile pages for the site. So we’re approximately 35% or so done so far, possibly a little farther considering our team is working amazingly fast :)

We’re so thankful for all of your support that we’ve decided to get a bit more personal and what better way than to chat directly with our fans! So if any of you guys have MSN then add us at GoBoiano@live.com and we’ll have a good time chatting and spazzing about anime and all the sorts together :D
