Dragon Quest X plushies offer codes for in game items

It’s hard to believe the the creatures in the picture above are not just any average day plushies. The plushies, Omutsukkori and the Whip Ghost, come with codes from Dragon Quest X for in game items.

Players can use the codes one time using the Wii or Wii U game. When the codes are redeemed, the players will be offered either three medicinal herbs, three branches, three pieces of string, or an orb that gives out a temporary gold and experience boost.

When they come out in July, the plushies will be costing consumers 1,980 yen, or $25, a piece. As for the game itself, it will be in Markets starting August 2nd.

A slimy keyboard?

Hori, a video game accessory developer, announced on Friday that they will be releasing an exclusive “Dragon Quest Slime Keyboard” on August 2nd in conjunction with the “Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsuitsu no Shuzoku Online” game . The keyboard obviously features “Slime” which is the reoccurring mascot of the “Dragon Quest” series.

The keyboard is meant to be used in unison with the Wii/ Wii U, as it will offer players an easier way of chatting in-game; however, each keyboard can still be used with a PC. Each keyboard will retail for 3,980 yen, which is roughly $51 USD. On each function key, there will be a slime figure attached and all the keys are printed with a pixelated dot font in homage of the in-game text. Orders will also include a limited number of item codes that will provide in-game bonuses such as experience increases and gold.
