Nintendo’s 3DS has reached 5 million unit sales in Japan making it the company’s fastest growing platform. The hand-held device had a rough start upon launching, however after Nintendo reduced the price of the game system, sales begin to pour into the company. It is reported that the 3DS is now more popular than Sony’s new PS Vita in Japan. Only time will tell if this new break through in the company will help restore the huge profit dive that Nintendo lost in the last quarter.
